Ryan Gander lives and works in London. He is a wheelchair user with a long-term disability. He also has works related to disability; in Venice Biennale(2011) he featured an action-figure sized sculpture that represents him while he falls from a wheel-chair.

'It's a self-portrait in the worst possible position' -he describes.

His recent not- disability related solo exhibitions were in Amsterdam, Vienna and San Francisco.

His exhibition in Lisson Gallery is Free for everyone ! I really wanted to see his works, however I'm not going to be able to catch up!!! (too bad). But If any of you guys go please let me know and tell me how it was ! I only could see some images from his exhibition which I am now sharing them below for those who are in the same position with me.

Ryan Gander hem Londrada calisiyor hem de yasiyor. Kendisi bir tekerlekli sandalye kullanicisi ve uzun sureli bir engellilik durumu soz konusu. Engellilerle ilgili de calismalari var; Venedik Biennale' inde (2011) gercek boyutlarda bir heykel figuru yapti, bu kendisinin tekerlekli sandalyeden dususunu simgeliyordu.

'Bu bir en kotu pozisyon otoportresi' diye anlatti.

Kendisinin yakin gecmiste (engellilikle alakasi olmayan) solo sergileri Amsterdam'da, Viyana'da ve San Francisco' da yapildi.

Lisson Gallery'deki sergisi herkes icin ucretsiz!!! Gercekten gidip calismalarini gormek istiyordum fakat o tarihlerde hala Istanbuldayim ! (cok kotu bi durum). Fakat eger biriniz giderseniz bana haber verin ve nasil buldugunuzu da bana yazin ! Internetten sergideki parcalarin bir kac resmine bakabilme firsatim oldu, onlari da yukarida benim gibi durumda olanlar icin paylasiyorum.
